I am interested in majoring (or as a minor) in Food Science and Nutrition (under B Science). Can someone tell me which are the core subjects that I need to do for FOOD?

If possible, please let me the ones I need to do as a Minor too :)

Thank you.

according to the 2006 handbook
http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/2005/previouseditions.html

to major in food science, in first year you'll have to do
BIOS1201 - 1st semester biology
CHEM1011+CHEM1021 - 1st and 2nd semester chemistry
MATH1041 - 2nd semester statistics
FOOD1120+FOOD1130 - 1st and 2nd semester food science subjects

they also recommend you do fundamentals of physics (PHYS1111, available both semesters) and maths for life sciences (MATH1031, 1st semester)

same ones, you'll just do less FOOD subjects later on

many majors require similar 1st year subjects, so just do them and it leaves your options open
