Macbeth Expostion Help! (1 Viewer)

I have an essay due tomorrow about Macbeth and I vaguely remember my English teacher telling us how to differentiate between the play "Macbeth" and the character "Macbeth" in the essay.

So my problem is that I can't remember what he said and I was wondering if anyone on here would know how to do that.

When refering to Macbeth, the play, underline it. The character Macbeth is left normal.
eg. Shakespeare's tragedy, Macbeth, portrays the tragic downfall of the noble Macbeth etc
