The whole ducking-to-avoid-a-flipping-car thing was a little lame, but otherwise, it looks good.

they so should have kept it as live free or die hard
die hard 4.0?
come on
the movie will be worth it for:
"you shot down a helicopter with a car!"
"I ran out of bullets"

After the disappointment that was 16 Blocks I don't know that this is going to be much better.

Yeah, 16 Blocks was disappointing, but come on ... this is John "Yippie-kye-aye, Motherfucker!" McClane.

Also, bassguy, the title was changed because "Live Free or Die Hard" is based on the motto of a US state, "Live Free or Die". It was changed for the international release because audiences might not get the title otherwise. But since this is probably going to be the last Die hard film (at least with Bruce Willis), I figure they should have followed the trend of the previous films - Die Hard, Die Harder, Die Hard With A Vengeance - and named it Die Hardest.

Yeah, I heard Bruce Willis ain't impressed at that.

But then agian, we're getting desensitised to swearing in popular culture. I remember when "shit" was considered taboo; now we're getting "motherfucker" in PG-13 films ...

If you watch the trailer, he goes to say it but gets cut off. They might be able to complete the line in the films, but not in trailers, which would get broadcast on TV at all hours.

I'd say we'd get it; Die Hard isn't Die Hard without that line.

And Die Harder wasn't that bad. Sure, Renny Harlin should never have been allowed near the director's position, but the film wasn't all that bad.

Actually, he only says it once.

Say it twice and you get M for language.

Doesn't the US go PG, PG13, R17?

I think that's it, anyway.

I didn't even know that. But I do have to agree with Fish Sauce; I'm prety sure the US ratings system doesn't have an M classification (but they do have an "NC17" before R-ratings).

AAARGH!

I'm hearing they removed Willis' catch-phrase! What's John McClane without a "yippie-kye-aye, motherfucker!'?

Damn. Every time I see something relating to the film, it just makes me want to see it even more, but we have to wait until August 9th! According to IMdB, we're the third-last country in the world to get it, which really sucks. I'll just go the day it's released and say it has something to do with my Film lectures.

I found this while procrastinating after my exam yesterday. It's got "viral marketing" written all over it (kind of wishing I found it before my marketing exam, but I have no idea how I;d work it in), but damn, I can't get the chorus out of out of my head ...

"We're gonna die (die) die (die) die (die) die hard!
We're gonna die (die) die (die) die (die) die hard!
We're gonna die (die) die (die) die (die) die hard!
We're gonna die (die) die (die) die as hard as we can!"

Yeah, I'm an action junkie.

Ten Minutes of Die Hard 4.0!

It's subtitled in Chinese or Japanese (don't know which), but all the dialogue is in English ("Good luck at the Bad Timing Awards!"). It looks awesome; August 9th can't some soon enough.
