Hey. I was having trouble linking my PIP topic to S&C topics.

My topic is:

How does living in Avalon, an isolated beach community, affect adolescnets' beliefs, values and attitudes. Why does a community segregate itself? I am comparing Avalon with Lane Cove.

Any suggestions?

How is everyone else linking their topics???

well as an obvious starting point you can relate it to the fact that the societies are different or the same depending on your hypothesis and also as you are comparing two different environments that could also be a society and culture concept. In relation to your topic you could probably relate the whole socialization concept aswell.
im doing Manufacturing identities in a netwrking era: the myspace IDology which investigates MYSPACE as a new environment for socializing etc etc

How do the popular cultures viewed on TV shows affect the socialisation process of a child?



i think you need to look at specific tv shows... Like soaps, comedies, kids shows
