this seems like such a stretch but I really need a 99+ atar cos I have no adjustment factors to save me but I recently sat my 4U trials and now im spiralling cos I know I could be done better and I feel like I wasted two years of my life on something that im gonna now just fall short of help heloeppepep
I haven't finished my trials yet but my ranks right now are
chemistry-- 4th /24
physics -- 1st/ 30
math ext 1 -- 4th / 10
math ext 2-- 4th/5
English adv -- 3rd/60

my school isn't even ranked def around 300-400+ and we get like 1 band 6 a year for math ext and no band 6s in the last 7 years for science and English is like 3 band 6s a year.

typing this out is making me realise how stupid I sound wanting a 99+ atar with these stats but I dont know how to keep going for the rest of my trials after bombing 4U I was genuinely so confident about it 😭

nope for rank 300-400+ schools ur gonna need to be rank 1 for at least 3 subjects 4th is too much of a discrepancy for 300-400 schools and your band 6 rates are pretty dang low so realistically based off this alone 99 is not possible

unfortunately i dont think 99 is too possible. im not 100% sure but like 99% sure. if somehow you manage to beat the people ranked above you in your subjects in hsc by SO MUCH that nesa considers you an outlier, and if you do that for almost all of your subjects you could still get a 99 atar.

im disclosing that not to discourage you but jsut to say you can still do decent in hsc by working to the best of your abilities. try your best with atar, get into uni and then transfer into whatever uni course you were going for. if the 99 was for the glory or to "make the last 2 years of your life worth it" uhh let me hold your hand while i say this but you should go touch grass no offense. life isnt all abt marks

no point crashing out now, lock tf in for hsc, get as high of an atar as you can manage, go into uni, use your GPA/WAM and then transfer into whatever course you wanted to make it into that way
