At the moment I am failing english terribly and I know it will drag my UAI down so i just wanted to know what kind of mark I need in english to get an 80+ UAI.

Here are my 1/2 yearly report marks and ranks. My school is ranked in the low 300's I think around 370.

English Adv 46% 47/55
2U Maths 81% 2/33
3U Maths 50% 7/8
Business Studies 86% 1/15
IPT 86% 1/16
Food Tech 59% 8/17

My food tech mark isn't too good either but I think I can improve on that by the time we get to trials if I work harder.

So is it still possible to get 80+?

IMHO it's still pretty boring, the most practical you might get is entering data into a spreadsheet.
To the OP try doing one essay per week, for English, and handing it in to your teacher, I found it improves you a lot.
