Basically I’ve finished all my assessments and I found out some of my ranks and they’re pretty shit if I’m being honest.

My school isn’t even ranked so idk the rank of my school and our tests are easy asl, I know my friends are on here so I can’t say much becos I talk to much here but for context my ranks for my subjects are averaged around 4th and 5th which I know sounds like I’m worried abt nothing but my subjects literally only have four or five people becos the people at my SKL don’t usually pick them (physics, chemistry, ext2 maths etc.. )

anyway the people who are first and second don’t have that much difference of a mark from me but the thing is idk how to climb the ranks when they’re getting full marks and I’m getting one mark off so basically I’m asking if my trials can secure me a rank 1 or 2 ?

If the gaps between your marks are relatively small, I don't think you'd be impacted too badly. Check those hscninja websites for the number of band 6s your school gets in each subject a year, that should be an indication of how likely you are to get one at your current rank.

I've also seen ranks change in trials a fair bit, trials are usually weighted more than other assessments. Also, people don't factor in that some people work best in that environment, some people can handle exams and exam blocks better than others + have better preparation and this isn't necessarily the people who do well in hand ups/in class exams. If you are relatively close in marks, your rank could move up
