Some Background First, I go to a Rural school with 0-5 Band 6s overall per year and at the Haldf way point of Year 12 assesments I am rank 1-3 in each of my Classes being, English Adv, Modern, Ancient history and PDHPE and Am Rank 20/25 or so in Advanced Math which i Study By distance
After 2 Assesments I am
Math - 20/25
English - 3/5
Ancient - 1/3
Modern - 3/7
Pdhpe - 2/5
SLR - 1/2
The Marks in English Ancient, modern and PDHPE are all within 1-4 from top of class. My Goal is studying Bachelor/Masters of Exercise Phyiology and Physiotherapy throught Gateway Which requires an adjusted 88 or so Atar. Is it still possible with about 60% Weighing in My classes of assesments left to come back for Rank 1 and Should i Drop Math adv which i average 40-50 to Do standard at Homeschool Math Standard 2 with less competition.
For Clarification I know i have not Done my Best this last 2 Terms and my Teachers are saying i am capable but i just need to pull my head out and Will use these Holidays to Recover and Bounce Back from it.
Any Advice would Be Appreciated.

A comeback is definitely possible. The fact that you have 60% worth of assessment tasks/exams yet to be completed means that you have a great opportunity to improve your rank across your subjects, which will hopefully allow you to be in the same position as that of Ancient History. To have the best chance of achieving this, you should regularly review subject content and prepare for your tasks to the best of your ability. From your post, it seems like you are capable of doing this and more importantly, you want to do it.

Your position in Mathematics Advanced is unfavourable and is likely to hinder your progress towards achieving your ATAR goal. You have two options here. You can:
  • Remain in Mathematics Advanced and do your best to improve your performance, which will hopefully lead to a higher rank. Only do this if you are confident that you can improve your performance significantly in this subject.
  • Drop to Mathematics Standard and do your best to place as high as possible. This may be a better option given your circumstances and you may have a better chance of performing at a high standard in Mathematics Standard than you do in Mathematics Advanced. With that being said, you should only drop to Mathematics Standard if you strongly believe that you cannot improve your performance in Mathematics Advanced and if you are confident that you can perform favourably in Mathematics Standard.
I hope this helps! :D
