Is a band 5 still possible? (1 Viewer)

Hello

In English (adv) I am ranked about 10/17 and am about 15 marks off the top person. The class is not particularly strong, I assume my assessment mark would be around 65-70, the top in the class being 85-90.

What sort of HSC exam mark would get me into at least a mid band 5 (if such a thing is possible) for the overall hsc mark?

(teacher says I have potential but I'm just bone lazy...)

It's quite hard to say for sure, but the chance is still definitely there.

If you look at the statistics for previous years English Advanced, you'd notice a good percentage of the state obtain between band 4 and 5, with 37.84% of the state achieving band 5 (which is a pretty good amount).

oh well, thanks for that.

For me, ext 2 maths and physics carry far more weight towards my uai than crappy old english, so i'm not too concerned - only need 85 for engineering
