Investigating technologies in learning Mathematics (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone,
Can students in secondary schools share their ideas on the following question ?

How do you think the "INTERNET" is used to support the teaching and learning of mathematics. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the use of this technology and what advice for teachers can you give when using this technology ?

Well currently at my school (non-selective government co-ed) in my Yr 12 class there is no use of the "INTERNET" in the class room. I think that technology could be used a lot more in mathematics teaching in the classroom, not just the Internet by technology in general. It seams to me that a lot of maths teachers are still using blackboards. I know that this can get a bit boring to students at time.

I'm not exactly sure how "the Internet" would exactly fit in with this but i feel that teachers should take full advantages of technology in the classroom such as,

• Graphing software
• software such as maple/mathematica
• use of nice computer graphic images for visualising 3D geometry problems
