so currently i do 10 units, im doing legal, society, maths std 2, va and eng adv
i get relatively good grades either As or Bs, except in english where im prob sitting at a high c or b if im lucky

i just did my first sac for society and got 85%, im pretty confident that in my legal I can get an A
for last year, I was ranking second/third in society and second in va (getting 85/90/95%, I know va doesnt really scale the best and will probably be getting marked harsher now that im in yr 12), and getting like high Bs in math.

i did the atar calculator and im sitting at like 69-73 (not where I want to be), I'm really adamant on aiming for 85-90

can i increase to 90 do you think? if so how?

I dont think you can base your ATAR solely off your T1 marks. Your personal rank, school rank and amount of b6's produced per year by your school contributes greatly. It's too early to determine your ATAR but its also early enough to make improvements to your academics since you still have 3 tasks left and externals.

T1 for most subjects are relativly easier than T2, 3 and 4 so yes they can ground some ranks, but from what i've personally seen and heard ranks will change drastically around T3 n 4 (trials). And yes you can certainly improve if you're willing to, but like I said T1 will probably be the 'easiest' task out of your internals. You still have a year left to change your ranks so I advise you to make use of the upcoming holidays as you will never recive that much time to prepare again for the rest fo yr 12.

it does to an extent. Depends on the weighting. My school put 30% towards my at1 which plummeted my rank come trials. It's dependant on school

Hi! I think it's really important to understand that your school marks have nothing to do with your HSC marks, only your ranks do. When NESA calculates your HSC marks, for the school assessment component, they consider the HSC exam marks that your school cohort gets in each subject and your rank within your cohort, then assign you a mark accordingly.

Although your school assessments at the moment may be easier than the HSC or marked more leniently, they are only raw marks. In the HSC, your raw marks are aligned (usually increased quite significantly, especially if your raw mark is low). Simply putting your raw marks into ATAR calculators is bound to give you very low estimates. Since you seem to be getting pretty good ranks, I'd say that 69-73 is definitely an underestimate, and 85-90 may be in reach. You might just want to improve in English a little. What you can do is check how many band 6s your school usually gets each year in each subject, and compare this with your ranks in these subjects accordingly. This is the most reliable way of tracking where you're currently at, and whether you need to step up your game to meet your goal.

Whoa that's a lot of writing! I hope it makes sense. Good luck!
