How would they count my 4U maths for my ATAR if I'm doing 12 units? (1 Viewer)

Lots of people in my 3U class told me that if I fail 4U miserably, they will count my 2U as 100% - is this true? Because another source told me that they count Extension 2 maths as 2 units, and Extension 1 as 2 units.

Please help ):

Yeh, maths extension I and II both account for 2 units, hence 4 unit maths. Btw, if u fail 4U, the fail will allign to a decent mark, decent being 80+.

if your doing 4u maths then you dont do the 2u so i highly doubt they will do that, but since 3u is counted as 2units and 4u is counted as 2units, the best one out of them will be counted, correct me if im wrong

I don't understand this misconception of 100 in 2U if you do 4U. When you do 4U - your 2U marks are irrelevant and act as if you didn't do the subject.

No, if you fail 4u miserably - you fail 4u miserably. They call it Maths Extension 2 now so that people can't say "oh its okay, if i stuff up 4u, my 2u will automatically be 100%!!!!!" which is wrong anyway.

They count MX1 as 2 units, and MX2 as 2 units. Mathematics features nowhere.

This, you dont do a final HSC exam for 2 unit if you do 4 unit. Plus a raw fail aligns to low 80's.
