(please ignore the two "." in the middle)

Aww man I've got like no idea how to use LaTex. Let's give it a shot.

$\frac{(x+y)^2-1}{x^2+xy-x}\times\frac{xy^2-2xy+x}{x+y+1}$

$=\frac{(x+y)^2-1}{x(x+y-1)}\times\frac{x(y^2-2y+1)}{x+y+1}$

$=\frac{((x+y)^2-1)(y-1)^2}{(x+y-1)(x+y+1)}$

$=\frac{((x+y)^2-1)(y-1)^2}{(x+y)^2-1}$

$=(y-1)^2$
