I have 2 subjects which involve major works. How do I use the ATAR calculator?
i assume just estimate the mark of your major work/50 + result of trial exam/50. isn’t that how it works for the actual hsc? i wasn’t sure if they’re both out of 100 or out of 50.

It works in the same way as any subject with a standard HSC exam. You simply need to determine an overall HSC mark that you believe you may receive for a subject that you are taking which involves completing a Major Work based on the structure of the subject, after which you can plug the mark into the ATAR calculator along with HSC marks for the rest of your subjects. :)

Thanks, does the hsc mark get scaled with the exam and major work combined or does the exam get scaled and then added with the major work mark?
No, whichever components make up the Examination Mark (in this case, the Major Work and the HSC exam) are first added (resulting in a mark out of 100), after which processes such as alignment and scaling are performed.
