How to determine when to write block/integrated essays? (1 Viewer)

When given any essay task question for adv eng, how do you know what type of essay to write? (integrated, block). Does it really matter whichever type?

(this is not for hsc but in general, e.g tasks throughout the year)

EDIT: by integrated, block... i mean the texts. e.g block essays have 1 paragraph all abt 1 text etc while integrated is a mixture of both

If you can still sustain a highly developed arguement, intergrated is much more better than block as it allows for a more sophisticated essay.

Intergrated adds texual integrity to the essay and a block essay's stop you from getting to those high band 6 responses unless the ideas you're using are highly developed and you can link them back to the thesis you have created with "flair".
