hey guys,
we're doing global environment now, and i'd appreciate any help !

i was just wondering, what exactly do you have to talk about in your response, in order to achieve full marks for questions that start off with:

  • Assess the role of International instruments such as the Kyoto Protocol in protecting the Global Environment from atmospheric pollution
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of of the EPBC ACT in responding to TWO matters of global environmental significance.

not asking for answers, just a guide as to what the teacher will be looking for when marking :)

I didnt do the global environment, so I can speak as to content. But I can say what you will need to do in terms of style and discussion.

For question 1, you pretty much need to look at several international instruments and analyses how they protect the Global Environment from atmospheric pollution and how effective they are in that role. To get full marks, you should try to look at views which support your thesis, but also views against it. You should then demonstrate why your view is superior. For example, "There is a view which says X is bad because of Y. However, this view is deficient because it fails to consider Z". Also a nice mix of LCMR is needed for 25/25.

For question 2, you will need to do something similar, whereby you look at views supporting your thesis and those against it.

The markers will be looking for a strong and highly sophisticated argument for 25/25. Make sure you write it in a clear and concise manner as this can greatly assist you in effectively communicating your ideas to the marker. For more info on legal essay writing, check out the link in my sig.
