how much has everyone written? (1 Viewer)

I know there is a big thread for this in the ext 2 main forum, but I was wondering how much everyone doing poetry has written? And how long are your individual poems? I've written about ten poems, but they're all quite short so i'm about 1500 words, I swear i need to get a move on.

I don't write long poems either. Can't remember how many poems I have, but my word count is around 1800.

No idea how long each poem is either

hey does anyone know if its compulsory to write 3500 words. because ive come across a few major works where their poetry is under the limit...and after all in the syllabus it does say it must not EXCEED 3500, so i just wana check...cos im only doing around 3000 words of poetry and its all i can really manage...let me know all ya beautifoool aspiring poets

I shouldnt think that you have to use up the entire 3500 words... if your work is complete in 3000 words then dont force the extra 500 because it would just lower your standard

hmmm.....:$ ive only done 1300 words so far....i really have to get a move on...

but i am really happy with those 1300 words...so i guess thats a good thing *looks hopeful*

I suppose if you've said what you were trying to say it doesnt really matter how many words as long as its below the 3500 mark. But hell... 950 is pretty short maybe if she had developed her idea into like 3000 words she might have got 50/50
