Hi all,

How much should I be expecting to get for my laptop if I traded it in?

The specs are as follows:

- HP Pavillion ze4400
- Mobile AMD Athlon XP2400+ 1.79Ghz
- 512MB RAM
- Toshiba 40GB HDD
- Integrated Radeon IGP 320M
- Integrated Ehternet NIC
- Integrated 56k Modem
- Integrated 802.11b Broadcom WLAN
- Integrated Altec Lansing Speakers
- Firewire
- 2x USB1
- CDRW/DVD Combo Drive
- Scratchpad
- S-Video out

Also has the following accessories:
- Dell bag
- USB2 PCI Card
- External Sony USB Floppy Drive
- International power cable
- External Altec Lansing Series100 Speakers
- Swann Laptop Webcam
- Swann Laptop Mini Mouse
- Windows XP
- Compaq Disks and User Guide

The reason I am seeking a trade in is because I no longer need a laptop and am upgrading my desktop PC.

The condition is excellent. The only damage is that part of the "E", "S" and "C" letters have been scratched off.

I bought the laptop for $1200 (refurbished) approx 2.5 years ago.

2.5years...

I'd pay $250 no more.

sorry, just doing some simple deprecitation in my head, taking that the average lifetime of a laptop is 3 years.

to me, laptops depreciate very quickly no matter how good they are and how well they are taken care of.

good point :p

I paid $500 for a laptop.
2nd hand. 1/2 a year old and barely used. I knew it was barely used because it was my sister's work laptop which she got and left in the house.

it was a pentium m 1.9?
60Gb HDD
1GB RAM.

XP, MS Office Pro

The work paid $2.5 for it.
and half a year later, I paid $500 for it

Specs are only half of what you look at. the other half would be usage.

but yeah, feel free to delete this thread if you have a good buyer :D
