I have worked two nights a week, One weekday & one weekend.

My parents are telling me to cut down to none but they will accept one. I'm trying to stay at two.

What do you think?

you're in uni obviously..?
do you do part time uni or full time, and how many days a week of uni?

uni is more important than part time work f'sure, but if you can manage your time well then by all means work two

i work 4-5 days a week and work 1 night a week, and i also go to uni 1 day a week and 2 nights a week..that is a bit borderline psychotic.

You need a balance, sometimes having work just allows you to escape HSC stuff and deal with something different which can be great, especialyl if you're not playing sport or involved in some other activity.

2 nights isn't too much, but I wouldn't take on any more.

High School, University, College doesn't matter what your in.

Is all about time management 2-3 shifts per week seems fine and easy to manage.

More than that is overworking.

Not neccesarily, I'm working 4 days a week, Uni 2 days a week and i'm fine, because I make sure it's manageable, just find your limit of what you can handle and do just a fraction less than that so you're life is a bit easier if things go wrong.

Yeah I survive fine, it actually keeps me sane cos at the moment I like work a lot more than I do uni. I don't do that much study for uni, but not cos theres not time but cos I just don't want to! I still find theres plenty of time for socialising and the like, I think Ive found a pretty good balance.

My manager "does a fair roster", it never is though. I usually work one or two nights during the week and once on the weekend. Sometimes I work both days of the weekend and once during the week. Sometimes I'm not even on the roster :p

Thats pretty much how I am, I sit at uni itching to get back to work, and theres always time to socialise, friday and saturday nights are always my time away from everything. And if uni work does build up, work is pretty flexible with allowing me to take uni work to the offices and doing it there during the afternoons where its fairly quiet.
