double bond - "-ene"
count how many carbons the longest chain has - 5 - "pent-"
number of carbon with double bond - 2 or 3 - locant is 2 (its a smaller number)
alkyl group - "methyl-" (has only 1 carbon on its own, does not include the one on the og carbon chain)
locant of methyl group - 3
answer: 3-methylpent-2-ene

so the mistake you might have made is not counting the number of carbons on the chain properly bc that messses up the pentene and methyl part. youre supposed to count the length of the longest continous carbon chain not just the one they show as straight or whatever.

apart from this mistake the rest of your logic is fine
