my mother decided the best way to turn off my sleeping (ie in stand-by mode) computer is to pull the plug... my harddrive was already half-dead (thank you IBM you wonderful shitcunts - and on the same account Hitachi). after this 'power-off' my harddrive decided it was time to corrupt itself and destroy my windows installation - terrible goodshit. so now i am on a freshly formatted system, new installation, no programs bar trillian and firebird...

oh btw, must remind self to buy new harddrive. a seagate this time.
