How can I determine CABLE SPEED? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I want to find the speed of ma cable broadband.
Any ideas?

Download a file from your provider and look at the speed ?

There's a nifty test here you can try - it is based in America though, so it's an approximate.

But how come I can usually download at 500KB/sec when my supposed transfer rate was 207KB/sec

maybe its because im downloading something at the same time, which is running at 200kbps

yeah i have the same problem

but its alot better after bigpond took the cap off after 10gigs

sometimes theyre a bit dodgy when it comes to capping you

i mean ive downloaded around 30 gigs b4 they capped me, but last month they capped me right on 10gigs
