how many paragraph for main text and how many paragraph for related text

Ideally same number for prescribed and related. So one, two, or three for each depending on size. No golden number but I'm going for two.

I do them in integrated paragraphs:

Para. 1: Prescribed/related
Para. 2: Prescribed/related

etc. I sometimes have time for three paragraphs but I find two usually enough for a 40min essay.
