Describe two ways in which the orbital decay of a low Earth orbit satellite could be minimised. (2)

One factor that causes orbital decay is atmospheric drag by the collision of the satellite with particles in the air.

How do you reduce this collision?

1. Decrease the surface area of the satellite

2. Increase that altitude of the satellite
