hey all . can n e one plz help me. i need to know the transmutations that occur from the isotope cobalt -60 with reference to the use of cobalt -60 in metal radiography. n e equasions would be really helpful. thanx

uhm.... usually strongtium is used to detect different width of metal produced... regarding the transumation eqn:

the use is if you pass some product that needs to be of particular thickness, you have the radioatice specimen at one end and an receiver at an other end... if more radiation is detected, then the product is too thin... the feed back goes to the system and adjust accordingly...
