P(asecA, btanA) and Q(asecB, btanB)
whats the equation of the chord?

Oh dear, you guys must be very stressed.. it's just finding the equation of a line thorugh 2 given points.
it's obviously:

(y - b tan A) = [(b tan B - b tan A)/(a sec B - a secA )]*(x - a secA )

now you see i got that, however the book i have, said something rather strange, and so i was just wondering if there is a general formula.

hmm if you simplify/work on it a bit it can look totallt different
