Hello, this is my first post...hope u guys will help me out a little.
Ive been think quite alot lately on whether or not to drop Extension History. But im still indecisive.... I was wondering you guys to help me decide whether to drop it or not.
I just got my half yearly rank and mark for some subjects:
Chemistry 90% ranked 3rd out of 20 15-20 people
Biology 90% ranked 1st or 2nd (still didnt get my rank back but its either 1st or 2nd) out of 15-20 people
Ancient History 90% ranked 5th (i think) out of ~60 people
English Advanced 70% ranked 8th out of 14 people
Maths!!! ~55% (omg ranked like 10-15ish i think) out of ~30 people
Extension History 60% ranked 4th of 5 people...
What made me think on whether or not to drop was actually because of my major project (which i chose on damn Churchill which is apparently due before the trials and im struggling). Also its because of there is ALOT of reading which i despise. But i was wondering if i keep extension history and learn the critical analysis stuff - like post - modernism, marxism etc - it might be beneficial to my english advanced course since were doing a novel applying how different readings of the text can produce textual integrity (or something) and it might help with my essaays writing and vocabulary and such....
I do like doing extension history in class though, but the thing is i have 11 units and its too scary to stick with 10 units either...
And also since Ancient History has similar historiographical issues concerning extension history it might also be beneficial to keep it...
Any Suggestions ? If not thanks anyway.

so to clear everything up, youve got 11 units.
youre doing well in chem, bio and ancient, and english would have to count, so there would be 8 units that would count towards your UAI.
so it looks like its gonna be either ext history wont be counted, or maths being counted as 1 out of 2 units.
so youre struggling with the major project, but youre using this subject to sublime your skills in ancient and english adv.
if thats the case, then theres a lot more pros then cons, so i would suggest keeping ext history, so even if thats your worse subject, it wont be counted towards your UAI.

Well i recon keep it, if u like the subject, and the only reason your thinking of dropping it is because of the major work...., you will regret dropping it. I was in a similar situation to you with eng ext 1 and 2, i really liked the subjects, but out of pure laziness dropped them, and have regretted doing it everyday since.
