It's people like you who encourage the children not to search...why would the children search when people like you just end up doing it for them in half the time it would take them to do the search function? :p

-used in soft drinks to give sharp tastes

Acids are commonly used as food additives.

What really is important is that Acids can be added to foods as nutrient booster, flavouring, and preservatives

1. Citric Acid is added to certain foods as flavouring. It gives a tart taste.
2. Ascorbic Acid is added as a preservative
3. Acetic Acid is the oldest existing preservative. Olives and Pickles are examples.
4. Folic Acid is added to pasta as a nutrient booster

Others are Benzoic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Sulphur Dioxide, Sorbic Acid, esters of Galic Acid, propionic acids, lactic acids and malic acids

There are hundreds of acids that naturally occur but most of the additives are synthetic.
