Has anyone done Great Expectations as their text for 'belonging'? (1 Viewer)

My set text for belonging is Great Expectations. My teacher has said to not find texts of similar story but would that be difficult to relate? I have chosen to use Freedom writers(film) and The Arrival (picture book) Do you think this is a good choice of related texts?
