An artificial satellite travels in a circular orbit of radius 9500 km. It takes 90minutes to complete an orbit.

HOW TI FIND TANGENTIAL VELOCITY???

v = rw

w = delta(theta)/delta(t)

= 2pi/(90 x 60) (convert minutes to seconds)

You know radius, convert it to metres.

ω=2pi/(90*60)=pi/2700 rad./s
v=rω=9500*1000*(pi/2700) m/s
Hence, the satellite has tangential velocity of 11053.75 m/s.

can't you also use period formula?:

T = 2piR/V

and rearrange to get v as you know r and t which is 90 x 60?

no u start with velocity = distance / time

circumference is entire orbit which is the distance travelled by satellite
and time is the period (90*60)

so v=d/t = circumference (2piR/period)
