definently one of my fav festivals (for obvious reasons) this years good vibes was fucking awesome.

so far only 'wale' has been confirmed, who is a relatively new rapper who has been talked about more than obama in hip hop forums. he is def a nice choice:

he put on a seinfeld themed mixtape, which is awesome.

he has the same sorta hype lupe fiasco had when he first emerged.

--------------------------

strongest rumour for headline act is 'fatboy slim.'

----------------

full details are announced soon

line up so far:

Sam Sparro
Wale

Sat Feb 14 – Sydney, Centennial Park

thats gay they said they would announce the headliner today.

they only announced one of the 'big' acts, even though he is pretty fucking shit and he has just been out here at oxford art like a few weeks ago hasn't he?

sam sparro.

mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

hopefully the main headliner makes up for this

murs would be excellent, but, it's highly unlikely that promoters would book him into the line up.

the crowd at good vibes is generally a typical mainstream-esque crowd, like a parklife or we love sounds, and with the fact that festivals are the 'cool thing' now the crowd will probably be even more mainstream than it was this year.

murs won't pull a mainstream crowd....cypress hill or kanye would....and they did.

if he is booked though, he's set will be very early in the day.

which i don't have a prob with really, i like showing up to the fests exactly when they start even if no acts i like/have heard of are playing early

ok

the line up is officially announced 2nd of october

but

good vibes have put up several audio clues to who will be on the line up

i have recognised three. i am 110% definently positively sure on two of them, the third one i am 99% on

one of the audio clips is the start of 'rising down' by the roots. so they will be on the line up. and that's enough to get me to pay anything to go. i may even go to the melbourne good vibes as well just to see them again and again and again and again

another audio clip is 1 millisecond from fatboy slim's 'right here right now' so he is on the line up

then another audio clip is yelle. so she'll prob be on line up

the roots
fatboy slim
yelle

i am SOLD!

Deadmau5 can die a painful 8th-note filled death.
On a lighter note, Wale + Fatboy slim !
