Does general education subjects count to WAM? And if it does, are general education subjects easy to get high marks in compared to normal subjects? Thanks.

I believe it does count to your WAM. It can be easier to get high marks if you choose the right subject, e.g. I hear PE fitness is pretty easy and interesting.

Faculty apart from the one responsible to your degree..

For example, people doing Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) degrees are ban from choosing most of the GenEds from CSE, however they can choose thoses from arts or economics etc.

The general rules for gen eds is that you can pick up to a maximum of 3uoc from your own faculty, or 6uoc any other particular one faculty. Sometimes faculties have their own specific rules as well, such as the one gman mentioned. You can find them usually on the faculty website or in the Gen ed handbook

So it depends on your choices, how can you tell if it's easy or not? But in general, would you expect gened to be easy marks compared to normal subjects?

What if I was in a B.science but also taking a major in finance, would I be allowed to take gened from commerce faculty?

The best thing you can do is to pick a subject that is likely to interest you, not how easy your friends tell you it is. It might be easy, but if you find it so boring and never show up you'll fail it either way.

Just to expand on the restrictions sunny pointed out, if you're a Commerce/Economics student, you CANNOT do any Gen Ed's from that faculty.
