hi, can anyone recommend me a good frontline study guide. one with lots of techniques and quotes will go down nicely.

From memory, the excel one was pretty good. I only remember two on the market, the excel and the top notes-mind you, there could be more out there now. Its best if you stick to your own notes ;) But yes, excel was the better out of the two.

I would sugest for you not to buy any of the study guides, make up your own study notes. That way, you make yourself think, and you remember your own thoughts better that someone else's.
For each forntline text, all you really have to know is:
breif synopsis
context
what issues are being represented
techniques used to show these issues
