hi,

I've just got one question - does BOS announce the first in state and/or placings in each subject before the actual results come out, or do we find out on the day from the newspaper/media. I'm not sure if I've a chance at topping anything though, let alone making the top few, but I'm curious to know how those people find out!. If anyone could tell me more that would be great.:)

i think you find out on the day before, i.e. 18th. then you can get your result on 19th, then its in the paper on the 20th.

actually, candidates that got first in course would have gotten a call yesterday, some time during the day.

the presentation is on tuesday, with 1st in course list released to the media on the same day.
interesting, how do you know that? Damnit i was on holidays all week

not "expecting" more like hoping, seeing as i completely smashed community and family studies at my school, i was kind of hoping i'd be up there in the state as well, but hey you never know, might not have :)
i didn't top the subject though, oh well

Wow, Moriah College holds first place for THREE English courses, with the same person holding first for English (Advanced) and English Extension 2.

English (Advanced) - Alex Borowsky (from Moriah College)
English Extension 1 - David Seidler (from Moriah College)
Enlgish Extension 2 - Alex Borowsky (from Moriah College)

What an achievement...

Giles Samuel Vernon Gardam from Hurlstone AHS topped Mathematics Extension 2....
Anthony David Morris from Sydney Boys HS topped Mathematics Extension 1....
Dilip Sunder Raj from Macquarie Fields HS topped Mathematics

^^ They'll come out with the results tomorrow or Thursday.

And Moriah must e doing something insane with their English kids. EE2 was topped by a Moriah student last year and his work was the very definition of brilliance.

Not that I was expecting to be on this list, but hahaha, I am so dreading my results tomorrow considering I was so set on getting somewhere amongst the top of the state for Ext II English. Sigh.
