Don't tryin be picky when applying for your first job...
If you're too selective about what you want and have no work experience, generally it'll be difficult to find one...
Apply for any and every job that appeals to you!
But tryin avoid the fast food chains Eg Maccas, KFC, Hungry Jacks etc...

i went to parramatta westfields to look for a job. i ended up handing out 5 resumes to different stores. i hope i get at least a call from 1 of them!

Bah what a load of bullshit! This is their hiring period. Make sure you ask to speak to the manager & not just one of their stupid staff who don't know what's going on. And go *everywhere* (even places you think you have no chance, you never know!)... you might have to do 2 rounds just to show you're keen.

^^ i was JUST about to post - make sure you see the manager, give the resume to them. if you don't, you can count that a wasted sheet of paper. the people working there don't care about you, they want to keep their job as well- they might throw your resume in the bin or just forget about it.

i got a call from the people the other day and they said they'd call me soon about the training day...but thye tentative opening day is 25th november...shouldn't they call me already about the day and details?...wondering whether i should call them myself..but should i ? and when?

ps charmed cuties: yeah five is definetly not enough go around again or try other shopping centres
