I have a friend who works at CSIRO (it's just behind ANU) as a research assistant or something like that. Pretty good pay too, from what I recall.

pay for casual jobs in canberra is shit. minimum wage in canberra is like $12 for an 18 year old. you need to search for good pay.
i worked for foxtel for a bit - in the kiosks and stuff. worst job i have ever had.
three are a million retail jobs going thjough.
if you cant get a job in canberra there is something wrong with you

was MATH2406 hard? i got a mate who thought he would be a wiseass and cram in the last week before the exam. he got nailed in the course like there was no tomorrow (by nail i mean get something in the 30's as a result... that'll teach that asshole :haha: )

and i got another mate who (i believe) is topping engineering who found the test insane.

Yeah, it was pretty difficult. I got 87 for it, but that was despite getting 100% on all the assignments. The exam was much harder than previous years (and they definitely weren't exactly easy in the past). The main problem is that it's not a particularly well taught course, in my opinion.

math1115/1116 are first year units so obviously they are easier than math2406.
