I'm at macquarie, doing commerce / law

I had a UAI of 96.55

I have a few questions though, and i ask before hand, please forgive me if I'm asking questions for which there are answers on this forum already. =\

I want to unsw law.
1. Is it possible to switch after 1st semester? this is my first year. hmm, the first stickied thread has something about doing one full year of study before being able to switch, so i'm guessing I can't.

2. Around what GPA would I require to switch? 6.20? *read that article by frigid*

3. Would volunteer work help me?

4. I'm starting a job with an accounting firm on june 10th. would that help me? or would the time better be spent in studying. hmm

well you could transfer now...but it would rely on your uai only. i fyou want to count your university studies, you would need to have dont at least 1 FT year before being able to trasnfer.

about work experience: if you dowloaded that file form Frigid, it says what amrks you will get dependig on the position. however im no expert in these matters so i hope my reply might help you little.

1. No, apply for entry in 2006.

2. I applied for 2004 entry with a UAI of 95.25 and a GPA of 6.0 and I didn't get it, so by now, a GPA of 6.2 would be pretty much safe with your UAI..

3. Not at UNSW

4. Not at UNSW

In UNSW we get % and a corresponding grade. How is GPA deduced?

I would still consider doing the accounting work even though it'll take a chunk of your time away from studying/socialising. :)

Succssful trasfers into LLB are soley dependent upon your marks. :)

with all due respect to your transferring ambitions, you may want to consider this.

But.....!

You sound like a friend of mine. She used to go to Fort Street and then transferred to James Ruse. (God knows why). She hates the learning enviroment she's in and goes back to Fort Street every few days of the week (the days she finishes early), dressed in her old school uniform and attends some of the classes over there. I don't know how she could get past the teachers but she does. Anyway, I firstly questioned her motive in transferring a HIGH SCHOOL and then questioned her sanity for going back to Fort 'just for the fun of it'. She gives me the shrugs?

Her names Wendy. Hi Wendy. (Yr 11) :p

:)

thanks a LOT for your replies :)

6.2, wow, I won't get that. Thta's what, 1 hd and 3 d's, or 2 hds, a d and a c.

ah well, I guess Macquarie isn't a BAD place, as such. Frigid is right, pretty much only reason I want to go to unsw is cause of all my friends. =\

but, there's no reason I should give up on charity work. tis a good thing to do. I think everyone should do it :D
*casts level 100 convert-to-charity-zombies on you all*

hehehe

that's a nice rant

i sigged the last sentence

at the same time though i cbb to listen to people complain about how they want to be at usyd and how they didn't get their dream so i want them to transfer so they can either 1. be happy or 2. stfu if it's not as good as they thought it would be.
