Feeling overwhelmed (1 Viewer)

I have 3 major works - the PIP, the Extension History Project and the Visual Arts major work. Out of all of them the PIP is the only one I can bring myself to care about and the rest just.. continually backslide into oblivion. I've always been a good student (A's in all the humanities subjects) but I've had some really hard personal challenges this year, and every teacher keeps piling on study materials like the rest don't exist. Everything I write, or draw, or whatever, just feels half-baked and not good enough.
What do I do?

It's just the way it panned out, I love all the subjects and I'd already dropped hospitality (blergh) so I was down to 10 units and stuck with 'em anyway.

The only major work I did was Visual arts, and what I can say about it is USE CLASS TIME WISELY. I completed my bow without much stress (i did 5 A2 drawings) and majority of it was done in class time. Keep in mind I crammed the day before trials for like 6 hours to finish, but for the most part you should be able to get most of it done in class. My second piece of advice is to have a game plan. Plan out what your task will be for every lesson so you dont slack off. This includes study periods. Other than that, just relax and do your best. Trust me its not the end of the world.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I'm doing three linoprints on wood (Going for a catholic triptych idea) and I really need to get started w/ cutting them out but I keep forgetting to bring the damn box of lino in because it's such a pain to commute with them (I'm an hour away from my school lol). no same, i feel this too. honestly nothing eases my mind like the last minute, so maybe setting 'mini' deadlines for things?

for art i've changed my idea about 5 times since the start of year 12... my current one is half-baked but you just gotta push through at this point. a well developed, half-baked idea is better than a perfect first try.

Sometimes, with feeling overwhelmed, I try pretend other work doesn't exist and focus purely on what I'm doing
Even if it is something small, at least it is something at all.

In your free time, try doing a bit of classwork you might of missed, or some homework you never finished, just to get it done. Don't try challenging yourself or reaching a certain mark or doing enough; Just take it easy.

It's much easier said than done, of course, but I would advise first organising everything it is you haven't done and truly need to get done, then work on those bit by bit.

If some things are turned in late, that's alright. Just get them done when you can - Perhaps you could tell your teachers this, that you're overwhelmed and behind and might turn in work late. They might go a bit easy on you, or let you know you which parts are most important to focus on.

Oh absolutely. I've got the idea to have my central material for my PIP + my hist. ext major works done by week 5, so that's... something, at least. Thank you for the advice!
