Hi all, I recently failed a course that never had an assignment sheet and a very vague marking criteria. The class was very disorganised where we even had times where the lecturer had nothing to teach and let us go home early on 3 occasions. I was extremely outraged when I found out I failed an assignment which I felt covered everything in the vague criteria. What should I do in this case?

There is nothing you can really do, I have been in this situition in high school. My teachers were hell strict when marking my assignments.

Which Uni is this and what course?

^ This is university and is much strict than High School in terms of marking.

And to OP, if it is not too late you can apply to appeal or contact the faculty.

Is there a chance for reassement? if it doesn't work out
Well a reassessment would only occur if an appeal of any kind was successful. So no, if your appeal is denied, then you have no chance for a reassessment.

A disorganised course/lecturer is not grounds for appeal, otherwise every engineering course would have hundreds of students appealing. A vague marking criteria should have been resolved when you got the assignment. There could have been many things you could have done, but it seems you have left it until now just because you are dissatisfied with your mark. Had you passed the course, would you have honestly considered appealing?
