dux isn't always the person with the highest uai.

My school does it based on raw marks before scaling or something.

fort street:

2003: 99.95
2004: 99.80
2005: 99.50
2006: 100.00

they calculate it based on hsc marks too, not UAI. (which is kinda stupid)

2006: 23 girls (i think) got >99 but don't actually know who was dux/what the highest was :S,

i guess i'll find out when they get presented with their award at speech day which is toward the end of this year...kinda stupid to make them wait so long

2005: four girls got 99.95, so they all got the "Dux"/highest UAI award

can't remember any prior years

sydney boys, the dux got 100. there's also a strange tradition for the dux to get 1/cosC on their yr12 jersey (ie 2secC).

How can they get that if they don't know they'll be dux? Unless it's a coincidence. In which case you look a bit stupid if you get that on your jersey and don't get dux.

2005 - 100
2006 - 100

etc... every year theres at least one 100. Last year over 40 people (Around a quarter of the year) got over 99...pretty insane. Sydney Grammar btw.
