My WAM is decent 63.75 but consists of 6 pass 2 credit (so my GPA is like 2.25 at MQ)
What will a uni (UNSW/USYD) consider when I apply for them?

Depends on a combination of your ATAR and your WAM/GPA. Whether it's WAM or GPA is up to which uni you go to. Also take into consideration the competitiveness of the course you're applying for since many of them require at least a credit average (65 wam).

So the saying that your ATAR is useless after you get into uni is a lie?

1: UAC uses GPA in calculations.
2: if there is an internal university application process instead, rather than UAC, then it is an individual decision that the Uni makes within its admissions office.

I would hope that that minute detail on university administrivia does not influence your decision about applying to a degree.
