i dont think they do very often, but when i was working at maccas, woolworths rang up the manager to ask about a former employee they were gonna give a job

yeah, the reason he stopped working at maccas was cos they fired him as $150 mysteriously went missing from his drawer two shifts in a row

Um a lot of smaller places don't but the bigger companies usually do.

Yes woolies called my previous then current workplace, and she gave me a good reference because she wanted to get rid of me because i was getting too expensive.

My dad gets the office to contact all referee's.. It's important to make sure you're not getting a complete dickhead, some people put their former employers who fired them for stealing as referee's, who of course say 'don't employ him!'.

its cool my referees are ppl i know...my aunty is a manager at a place i work casual lol n a family friend another time i worked so yeh its all good they say nice stuff hehe
