Wikipedia defines context as:

'The context of an event, word, paradigm, change or other reality includes the circumstances and conditions which surround it'

Im not to sure about Wordsworth and stuff cause im doing Brave New World and Blade Runner, but basically look at the time the text was written and what events surrounded it that may have influenced it... Very simplistic version but hey...

:)

Hope that helped :)

Context - (as defined by the syllabus) is the range of personal, social, historical, cultural and workplace conditions in which a text is responded to and composed.
