Hey guys, quick update on The Daily Integral (“dailyintegral.com”).

It’s been a little under two months since we launched the site and, to celebrate hitting 100k users, my co-founder and I decided not to take a break, but to build something completely new on top of it - Live Mode.

We actually first built and started working on The Daily Integral itself during our HSC, juggling study with late-night coding. And over the past week, now that exams are done, we’ve been spending around 8–12 hours every day building Live Mode for you guys.

Live Mode is a real-time, head-to-head way to do integrals: you queue up, get matched with another player, and race through a best-of-3 set of questions. There’s a ranked system behind it, so as you win and move up, the difficulty gradually increases and the questions start to feel more and more like proper exam-style problems.

If you’ve ever felt that the three daily questions on the homepage are a bit too hard, a bit too “contest-style”, or not quite like what you’re seeing in your school tests, HSC papers, or uni exams, Live Mode is something we’ve built with you in mind. The questions there are specifically designed to mirror exam-style calculus - the kind of integrals you’re realistically going to be marked on.

If you do end up trying it, any and all feedback would be heavily appreciated - what you like, what feels off, what could be clearer or more helpful. We’re still iterating and would love to shape it around what students actually find useful.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this, and if you’re curious, Live Mode is now up and running, available at “dailyintegral.com/live”.
