Ok this might sound stupid but in the test when given a stimulus, to what extent do our creatives have to resonate to it?

So if given a quote, do we have to include it specifically in the story? If given a picture does our story have to relate to it specifically? (e.g. a kid sitting alone by himself on a bench juxtaposed against a group or something. So this means your creative has to be about a kid?)

Or a belonging creative that pretty much embodies all the ideas that the stimulus is trying to convey?

Quote. No need to use the quote. Must use ideas within the quotes. Cannot simply use the quote then bail.

Picture. Must relate to it specifically, you could try to deviate from it, but its a significant risk.

There is not an explicit rule, as with all aspects of English, of how much you need to include a stimuli into your creative for it to be considered as 'significant', however as a general rule of thumb, you should probably aim to include it at the start, at the end and at the middle of your story-in a literal sense(i.e. as a part of the plot) and interweave elements-whether it be an idea derived from a quote, or visual symbolism/significance of a picture into your story. It is also advisable that you incorporate the emotional impact you feel after reading the quote/picture into the story somehow-but remember your story need to explore concerns about belonging at the end of the day:)
