That's not so bad. They won't count every word individually, the main indication would be how many pages you end up writing.
As a general rule I would say if you're using Size 12 Times New Roman with double spacing, don't go over 35 pages.

Hmm does it look like it's a 1000 words over? I think 500-600 words would go unnoticed not sure about 9000.
