Completed a second year course in first year? (1 Viewer)

For my degree (Renewable Energy Engineering) the recommended elective for first year is ELEC1111, which also happens to be a required course for our second year. What happens now that I've already finished it? Do I pick another elective from within my faculty? Any info would be great. Thanks!

you can't do core courses as electives

you can do it in 1st year no problem but do you think they're going to make you do the same course twice?

choose something from this list: https://www.engineering.unsw.edu.au/electives that is not in your program

Call the school tomorrow. I suspect they will let you do another SOLA or possibly any other engineering elective later on but confirm with the school.

I never got to do first year electives at all in my program as I did a second year course last sem

If I had to do it over I would have taken discrete and probably another geo subject just for the sake of getting the electives out of the way

That's why hopefully for the OP's case they get the choice of picking an extra SOLA elective in later years. Not sure though.

On a slightly related note, its kinda like the gen ed list too.
