Hey guys, i'm thinking of doing this unit but will only be able to attend 1 of the 3 lectures per week. So i was wondering if going to the tutes and practicals would be enough to get me through this. I havn't studied any programming prior to this.

thx

Hi guys, just wondering if the textbook is required or do lecture slides and tutorials provide you with enough information to do the assignments? Lecturers this semester are Christophe (CD) and Bernard (BM), are they any good?

chris is good, cept his english isnt good

bernard i found very interesting, his very hands on :) gets down n shows alot of practical stuff

i think the textbook is the best way to learn this course, lectures and lecture slides are crap

u need to practice the stuff and use the textbook as reference
if you need the text ive got the text n lab manual for sale
let me no mate ;)

its all about the assignments i recon

i hadnt done any comp subjects at all before this

so i found it a bit tough going but i did all the assignments by myself it allows u to do the finals as the questions require a similar standard of programing just easier (for my yr anyways)

so dont just copy someone elses and u'll be fine
