UAI: 76.05? Anyone want to explain to me why it's so low? Is it a bad course or does USYD just suck for Computer Science?

well i'd so because the number of people enrolled in Computing degrees dropped, so the uai is low inorder to gain enrolements. This is evident by the IT/Comp sci skill shortage.

it's coz they offer two courses

B Computer Science and technology

B Computer Science and technology (advanced)

the BCST people don't do advanced subjects and BCST(adv) do them. Naturally the BCST(adv) will have a higher demand than BCST and students think BCST is just a shit course, but infact it's the exact same as BCST(adv) you just don't do advanced subjects. And if you REALLY want to do advanced subjects just beg the Head of IT and show him what you've done, he'll let you in :p

Assuming you have the right marks, yes.

And again, stressing the point: it's not because it's a poor course, it just has a lower level of demand.
