You are told that it is a condensation polymer (i.e., water (usually) is lost as a by-product)

So, think about how you can join the monomers together and eliminate H2O in the process

Does it appear a lot in exam questions where they ask you to draw out the structural formula of any condensation polymers or do we have to memorise the structural formula of important ones like cellulose, PET or even nylon-6?

They give separate monomers and ask to draw the polymer but i don't recall it ever being asked in the HSC...
